BEWOTEC’s new module enhances the tour operator backend-system DaVinci

The software company BEWOTEC’s new module, designed for its tour operator system DaVinci, promises even more stability. Based on seasonal and sales-related high-performance phases, many tour operators experience a large increase in system booking requests. For example, BEWOTEC’s big player customers, such as TUI Cruises and the Sundio Group, have seen peaks of over 200,000 requests per hour. Due to the newly introduced enhancement for the DaVinci system, these requests are now seen to perform faster and are distributed intelligently. Therefore, the system now guarantees more stability, even during times of high load.

The new Gatekeeper module monitors the entire data flow and functions as a system load guard. Incoming request are redirected or even declined, should any process or system component reach its technical limitations. The Gatekeeper therefore constantly surveys the database values and, depending of the configuration of maximum capacity, decides if requests are permitted or denied. In such cases, system live tracking simultaneously follows up on the status and sends this information directly to system management, and also to BEWOTEC.
